BARE IT ALL: BREATHE
Take a deep breath slowly, then exhale. Felt good, didn’t it? Maybe even slowed things down a little and relaxed you. A simple task for most. For 33 year old wife and mother, Brittanie Mosson, it has been a challenge for half her life.
We first met Brittanie Mosson when she reached out to us with an email… “I’m currently waiting for a life saving double lung transplant. I wear oxygen 24/7, need a wheelchair for long distances and haven’t felt like I’m really me anymore. I was diagnosed with an unknown end stage lung disease that has left me with 15% of my lung function. I am wanting to do a boudoir shoot, because I haven’t felt beautiful in my own skin for at least 10 years.”
That is a long time to struggle physically internally, adding to that not being able to see how much beauty you posses on the outside.
After reading Brittanie’s email, we knew we wanted to help her see herself like everyone else does, a stunning, strong woman with a beautiful soul. We also knew that wanted to help her tell her story and and empower others. So we asked her if she would “Bare It All.”
"I am not my disease. It is part of me, and I’m okay with that.”
“I wanted to reach out to Ben because I wanted to feel comfortable in my own skin again… I just didn’t view myself as I used to, and I didn’t want to be ashamed of who I was, or what it was anymore. I am not my disease. It is part of me, and I’m okay with that.”
“After my shoot, looking back at the photos, I feel beautiful. I feel like maybe I am worth of self love, and that others are too, even if they don’t see what others see.”

We need more than oxygen to breathe, we need love, compassion, gratitude, strength, courage, support, especially in today’s world. And Brittanie gives back all of these things, just as much as she is given.
